Southside Eagles offers a wide range of Miniroos teams between the ages of Under 6 through to Under 12 and caters to all skill levels.

Our Under 6, Under 7 and Under 8 teams play in one of the largest in-house Miniroos competitions in Brisbane. All games are held on Saturday morning at beautiful Memorial Park against other Southside Eagles teams. It is the perfect environment to learn the game and make new friends. At this age group girls are encouraged to play in mixed teams – but we also have a number of ‘ALL GIRL‘ teams for those aged 8 – 12.

Our Under 9 – Under 12 teams (except for FQ Academy teams) play in the Football  Queensland Metro Miniroos competition. All games are played either at Memorial Park or other local Football clubs in Eastern and Southern Brisbane.

The U9- U12 mixed teams are graded as follows:

  • Kangaroos: teams include players who have above average skills. Matches are usually played with more speed, skill and tactics.  Our Eagles Academy teams play in this competition.
  • Wallabies: teams include players of average skills, who have played the sport previously and as such know the rules and how to play as a team, while engaging in matches with minimal instruction from their coach.
  • Quokkas: teams  include players who are new to small-sided football (SSF) or have basic skills of the game and as such require assistance and time to develop their skills and teamwork.

The U9 – U12 Girls teams will be entered Miniroos “ALL GIRLS” Competitions.
